Kaotica Studios is an award-winning Washington, DC-based independent film studio.

The studio’s debut short film, “The Killer of Grassy Ridge,” premiered in 2020 and was selected for 50+ festivals worldwide, winning Best U.S. Short Film, Best Debut, Best Cinematography, Best Thriller, and more, and now streams on YouTube and Amazon Prime.

Kaotica Studios next released “The Oath“, a non-profit fan film and prequel to Tim Burton’s Batman (1989). The Oath premiered on YouTube in late 2022, quickly gained a half-million views, and won awards for Best U.S. Fan Film, Best Lighting, Best Performances, and more. 

Kaotica Studios then journeyed to the Final Frontier in partnership with Farragut Films with “Farragut Forward”  the continuation of the long-running Star Trek fan series, Starship Farragut. One of the most ambitious Star Trek fan films in history, the Farragut Forward prologue premiered in 2022 with festival wins for Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and more. Favoring real set construction over green screen, as well as the use of practical ship models, the full episode of Farragut Forward is currently in production and will be released in early 2024. 

Upcoming projects include the Mars-themed short film “Red Eagle-1” (post-production), The Eighth Son, The Fort Crow Massacre, documentary projects, and more.
